Together we’ll create your special day just as you imagined it, while I take care of all the stress and legal paperwork you can focus on spending time with those you love the most. A ceremony personal to you filled with memorable moments is my aim always.

My job is to make your ceremony as stress-free and meaningful as possible for you. We’ll work together to produce something warm and wonderful that reflects “You”!

I’m Barbara Henderson-Wragge. My day time job is managing a 160 bed Student Apartment Complex and when the occasion arises, I love being a Celebrant.

I have spent many years as a Public Speaker and part time Radio Announcer and have given my time to various community organisations such as Rotary and Relay for Life.

Being a Celebrant for Marriages; Naming Ceremonies; Vow renewals and Funerals are all a great honour and of course a real pleasure. Whether starting people out on their new life together or celebrating the life of someone who has lived life to the full but has sadly left us, the privilege of working with people is a joy.

I am a member of CANZ (Celebrants Association of New Zealand) and Powertalk New Zealand and both provide on-going education and support that is invaluable.

As part of my day job I come into contact with young, and sometimes not so young, people from around the World. I aim to make them feel welcome, safe and included. I am truly blessed with many young friends who have become family from all over the Globe.

I firmly believe we all, no matter what colour; creed or nationality have 4 basic needs. Food in our belly; clothes on our back; a roof over our heads and someone to love us.

Love is everywhere and should be celebrated. When two people want to share their life together there should be no barriers as ultimately their families and our communities benefit from strong and loving relationships.

“We don’t remember days, we remember moments”.

TESTIMONIALS

Dear Barb, Thank you so much for everything you did leading up and on our special day. You are a fantastic person with an amazing heart and fantastic personality, you helped us with everything, going out of your way to make it a very special day for us despite lockdown changing our day, a tsunami warning a few days before and people not being able to make the new day on a Monday!. Your calm, gentle nature helped keep me calm and support me and nothing was too much for you. You really brightened our day and helped us get through it with minimal nerves and tears and more laughs and smiles! We have attended quite a few wedding and you are by far the best celebrant around!! Thank you again so very very much.

Love Tania & Andrew.
